Gulf Coast State College’s Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program has been ranked 40th out of the 136 programs in Florida, according to RegisteredNursing.org’s “Best RN Programs in Florida” report with an overall score of 86.13.
The list is primarily based on the pass rates for the NCLEX-RN exam, which is required for licensure and used by all state boards of nursing across the country. GCSC’s ADN pass rates continue to be above the state average for first time testers. Additionally, over 95% of ADN graduates are employed as Registered Nurses within the first six months of passing the exam.
“Our nursing faculty is dedicated to providing a quality educational experience for our students. We have the academic and clinical experience to provide the kind of support and training students need to enter the field of nursing,” said Martha Ruder, ADN Program Coordinator. “Our graduates are well respected in the health care community and are sought out by a variety of clinical agencies.”
