The Student Government Association (SGA) at Gulf Coast State College is hosting the LEAD (Leader, Engaged, Accountable and Diverse) Conference for GCSC students and local high school students.
The conference focuses on developing leadership skills through breakout sessions covering topics such as team building, public speaking, diverse leadership, civic engagement, time management, appropriate social media, resume building, fake news and the power of interpersonal skills. The keynote speaker is Del Suggs, a veteran and motivational speaker, who will speak on bringing out leadership in introverts.
The event will be held on Saturday, April 1, in the McSpadden Student Union East Conference Center from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. GCSC students and high schools students in Bay, Gulf and Franklin counties will be admitted free, and the fee for other high schools and college students is $25. The first 100 people to sign up will receive a free LEAD Conference t-shirt. Registration is required and can be completed online at http://bit.ly/LEADConference2017.
