The Gulf Coast Commodore Softball team fought hard all year long, working towards their goals. For all their hard work the team was awarded a playoff spot in the NJCAA State Tournament. The Lady Commodores headed to Vero Beach for the tournament with high hopes for the team. However, it was not the Commodores year as they dropped their first game against State College of Florida 5-4 in 9 innings. Gulf Coast would draw Santa Fe College for their second game, and would lose another hard fought battle by a score of 4-2 ending the Lady Commodores season. Gulf Coast Softball would finish the year in third place in the Panhandle Conference with an overall record of 28-23 and a conference record of 9-11.
