The new Call of Duty has brought back a lot of old and new feelings to the multiplayer. The gameplay reminds me of the old Black Ops one multiplayer. With things such as the return of dolphin diving and slower but still fast past movements of your character. However, there is a lot of new things that has been added. Higher end kill streaks are unique and not very far-fetched opposed to previous Call of Duty’s. The guns were under some scrutiny when the game first came out as scopes back then were very limited even though the technology existed. The looks and feels of the guns were very well done and used iconic sounds for shooting and reloading. So far the gameplay has been a fresh take on the older series and has given players what they have wanted instead of the futuristic garbage that has been of late.
In my personal gameplay it has been very fun even though Activision has introduced a system that has caused a lot of controversy. The way the system works is that when a person buys a DLC weapon it will pair the player against people who are terrible at the game. This will make the person believe that the gun is over powered and makes them a great player. In turn the bad player will see the gun and then will want to purchase it and then it causes them to get paired with even worse players. This also applies to other loot in the game acquired by loot crates. In my experience I have noticed this system. However, one thing that makes this system not work is good players. I would say I’m a veteran player and an excellent shooter in game and with guns in real life. So I have gone up against the system when it does this but it didn’t really affect my gameplay against them as I only just saw people with better gear and I still ended up in the top three. The majority of my matches are like this but I can tell when they push it as the entire other team will have decked out loot. This system does seem to prey on the weak but if you are a decent player you might never even notice it is happening.
