Hobbs and Shaw is an action movie and is a spin off of the Fast and Furious films. It is directed by David Leitch. It tells the story of agent Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham)a mercenary and Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) a federal agent. that team up to fight a genetically enhanced terrorist (Idras Elba) that has a virus that could destroy the world. David Leitch is a film director, actor, stuntman, writer, producer, stunt coordinator. He co-directed John Wick with Chad Stahelski, which he also served as producer. he directed Atomic Blonde starring Charlize Theron. David also directed Deadpool 2. Directing is his more recent work. Dwayne ” The rock” Johnson is known for his ear;y career as professional wrestler and for his now very successful career as an actor. His films include Jmanji(2017), Baywatch, and Moana. Jason Stathm as a professional diver, model and mostly his acting career. His film include The Expendables, Crank, and Transporter. Idras Elba is an actor known for his roles in Beast of no nation, Pacific rim, and the Thor films. Other actors in the film include Vanessa Kirby and Helen Mirren. Both Johnson and Statham are both prominent characters in the other fast and the furious films. Other credits on the film include Cinematography by Jonathan Sela known for his work in John Wick, Max Payne, and Deadpool 2; Muic by Tyler Bates known for his work on Dawn of the dead, Watchmen, guardians of the galaxy. Production on the film stared when it was announced that there would be spinoffs of the fast and furious films in Nov 2015. In Feb 2018 Leitch was brought on to direct it. The casting began in July 2018 with Vanessa Kirby and Idras Elba. The filming of the film began in September of 2018 in London England the production was completed on Jan 27 2019. mTe film is set to relase on Aug 2 2019 which was pushed back from its oriignal relase date of Jul 26. The movie had its world premiere at the Dolby Theater in L.A.
