Once Upon a Time In Hollywood is the 9th movie by Quentin Tarantino.  The film is about TV star Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) and stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt) in 1969 as they make their way through a changing movie industry; while also including some of the story of the Manson Family murders. Tarantino is famous for his work as a writer and director he is considered one of the greatest directors of out time. His films consist of Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown Kill Bill (1 and 2), Death Proof, Inglourious Basterds, Django Unchained, and  The Hateful Eight. His writing credits include all of those films and films like True romance and Dusk till dawn. Other cast include  Margot Robbie, Emile Hirsch, Kurt Russell, Margaret Qualley, Timothy Olyphant,  Austin Butle,r Dakota Fanning, Bruce Dern, and Al Pacino. Tarantino likes to use the same actors in his fil ms so he has worked with several of these actors already. Leonardo DiCaprio is a Oscar nominated and winning actor know for his roles in Films like Inception, Titanic, and the Wolf of Wall-street; He was worked with Tarantino before on his film Django ads Calvin Candie. Brad Pitt is also a highly acclaimed Oscar winning actor known for his roles in Troy, Fights Club, and Snatch.  The production started with the announcement that Tarantino was writing a film about the Manson family murders ad that it wouldb be produced by the Weinstein company, also some of the actors were announced he was  planing to approach.  After the Harvey Weinstein Sexual harassment and assault charges came to light Tarantino cut off his ties with the Weinsteins. It was later announced that Sony would be distributing the film, to do this they had to meet all Of Tarintinos demands which of course included him having “extraordinary creative controls”.  The3 shooting of the film began on June 18 2018 in L.A. and stopped filming on November 1st 2018. The cinematography was done by Robert Richardson know for his work on Repo Man, A Few Good Men, and Tarantino’s other films. Editing was done by Fred Raskin Known for his work on The fast and furious films, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Tarantino’s other films. The film Premiered at the Cannes Film Festival on May 21st. The film has been popular with the critics it has been shown to it currently has a 92% on Rotten tomatoes.

 

The film is set to release on July 26 2019.
