Welcome

Podcasts are not new to the ever growing digital landscape of media. They are becoming more and more popular as time goes on, now there is a podcast for everything. With a now massive collection of podcasts to choose from how is anyone going to find one to watch? To much choice is paralyzing, which is why reviewers exist to help guide people to content they will enjoy. So hopefully this will help guide you to a podcast you enjoy.

Segments

The shows tangents sometime become reoccurring segments based on the host and audience response.  The first segment was their advertising portion of the show “The Money Zone” which they jabbed at the products.  Another was “Haunted Doll Watch” where Justin would go on eBay and read listings for “haunted” dolls and creepy items. “Munch Squad” where Justin would cover news on various food marketing, mostly to jeer awful practices and food. “Movie Watch” where they would poorly explain popular movies playing up inaccurate movie reviews. They will also have guests on often Jimmy Buffet on of Justin’s favorite artists and one of the more prominent guests, they also filmed an episode at the premier of his play. The show has its roots in comedic takes on absurd problems, if that is something you might enjoy I highly recommend it.

MBMBAM

My Brother, My Brother and Me or MBMBAM for shorthand is an advice show. Advice based on people sending in or asking questions, and they try to help. The shows hosts are Travis, Griffin and Justin McElroy three brothers who are over 450 episodes into this podcast. The podcast began in 2010 and eventually made it to its current home on MaximumFun. The show often doesn’t answer many of the questions the receive making it through around 4 an episode. Often times the questions asked were taken from Yahoo and Quora. They often go off on tangents on questions letting each brother build on and present their sides on an issue.  Due to this they are often riffing off of each other due to their innate chemistry and different comedic styles. With their continuing success they often tour doing live shows, plenty of them are spread across the country. They also had a short 6 episode television show where they did their usual antics on camera.
