Play-In Stage has come to an end, but what has followed is an exciting look at the Group Stage for Worlds 2019. While some teams were predicted to win, the groups themselves are looking eager to have the finale of the 2019 League of Legends Season and hopefully be crowned the victor.

In Play-In groups the playing field was full of hungry teams. Group A had Clutch Gaming, from North America looking dominant with a final 3-2 record, but close behind was Unicorns of Love with 3-3. Group B would see the same type of story with Splyce and Isurus Gaming with records of 3-1 and 2-2 respectively. The dark horse of the Play-In Group Stage was in Group D however, with DAMWON Gaming having a perfect 4-0 record

Knockouts was the last hope for four teams while the other four would continue on to their hope of competing for the Summoner’s Cup. Clutch Gaming commanded the series against Royal Youth with a 3-0 set to lock themselves into the Group Stage. DAMWON and Hong Kong Attitude likewise would lock a spot in with 3-1 series against their opponents, but it was Splyce who had the challenge. Splyce and Unicorns of Love were neck and neck, before the Splyce of the LEC Regional Qualifiers finally showed up and took the series 3-2.

Who Will Move On?

While Splyce locked in, the struggle of Play-In Knockout brings cause for concern as Group Stage begins Saturday, October 12. Fnatic begins the excitement facing Korean favorite and powerhouse SK Telecom T1. Group Stage continues on through the 20th when the Top 8 teams from the four groups will move on while eight more go home in disappointment.
