Many students and community members were disappointed when the inclement weather hindered the colleges activities during the week of Halloween.  While a last minute trick-or-treat was done inside the SUE cafeteria for the students, courtesy of the SGA and participating clubs, it wasn’t quite the same.  “We were disappointed that we had to cancel it”, said Emily Weathersby, SGA secretary, “But given the weather, we figured the parents wouldn’t want to bring their kids out in the cold rain.”

However, in an effort to keep spirits up, the SGA rescheduled the Fall Festival and Trunk-or-Treat for a later date, which is now just around the corner!  On Wednesday, November 20, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., the SGA will host its annual Fall Festival in the Natural Sciences parking lot here at GCSC.  Trunk-or-Treat will also be happening, so feel free to bring the kids and their buckets, and fill up on candy!  College clubs will be hosting fundraisers with games and activities for the whole community.

Also, don’t forget, every Wednesday and Thursday from 12:30 to 1:00 is Minute-To-Win-It in the SUE Cafeteria!  Sponsored by SGA, this gives the students the opportunity to play games and win prizes (from everyday swag to Chick-Fil-A gift cards)!  So come on by and play Minute-To-Win-It!  Remember, it only takes a minute!
