There Are Degrees Too???

After writing about a few different ways to get involved in Gulf Coast State College’s digital media organization, there is also the most important way…Become a student and select one of the degrees! There are several degree programs that will and do prepare students for their future careers. If you haven’t guessed it already, I am talking about the Digital Media degrees.

There are five, yes FIVE, different degree programs specifically tailored to fit the life of a student, while also tailored to help each individual person to do well and exceed the expectations of those around them.

The first one I would love to talk about is the Digital Media/Multimedia Technology A.S. Degree. This one helps its students to be all that they can be in the field of digital media production. Anything related to digital media or multimedia will be covered with this degree plan.

The second one is the Radio/Television Broadcasting A.A. degree plan. This degree plan will definitely prepare a student who is ready to be out in the field, working in media broadcasting. This will also help student be more prepared for using the voices (or faces) on either radio or television.

The third associate’s degree is the Theatre and Entertainment Technology A.S. plan. Anything related to entertainment or even theatre would be right here for learning. It covers things from lighting on the stage, to video taken during the theatre presentation itself.

I know what you must be asking…

Are there only associates degrees? At which point I would answer…No silly goose!

There are TWO bachelor’s degrees in digital media specializations.

The first one is the Bachelor of Science degree in Digital Media-Production Specialization. This degree plan will teach each student the value of working in such a digital media field, from job functions to job responsibilities. All related to Digital Media!

The second one is the Bachelor of Science degree in Digital Media-Web Development Specialist. This one will prepare its students for website making careers and will surely make you one of the best in your field.

All of these degree plans will prepare you for a brighter future in a career related to digital media. If you love creating things that are or at least have great potential to be beautiful, then the choice is brought to one of five.
