It is with great regrets that I must make a retraction to my last post.  While the SGA worked tirelessly to put together the Winter Festival, due to unforeseen circumstances, the event has been cancelled.  However, this does not mean that there won’t be plenty to do in the next few weeks.

Tuesday, November 19, is Tropical Smoothie Day!  Come over to the sails at 12:00 p.m. and get your free Tropical Smoothie.  It’s a first come, first serve, so come early!

Wednesday, November 20, is Game Night in the Game Room from 2:00-3:30 p.m.  You can bring your own or play the games that are provided.

Thursday, November 21, is Movie Night on the quad at 5:30 p.m.  The movie for the night is Forrest Gump.  Snacks and drinks will be provided!

With Thanksgiving approaching, many of us are thinking about stuffing ourselves with food, throwing back Eggnog, yelling at our relatives, and descending into a long, well deserved nap.  The following day, some will brave the holiday masses in order to shop Black Friday deals, while others will still be sleeping off Thanksgiving dinner.

However, college students all over the nation will be preparing for that end of semester ritual that stresses us more than anything.  .  .Finals.  That dreaded time of every semester when our professors test us on how much we really learned.  A lot of us will stress ourselves into near starvation.

But fear not, starving students!  SGA saves the day!  Join us in the private dining room (back of the SUE Cafeteria) on Thursday, December 05, 2019, from 12:30 to 1:30, for a New Beginnings lunch!  This is an opportunity for students to socialize with each other and enjoy some free food and drinks.  Leigh Baily will be in attendance to give tips and advice on how to handle the stresses of Finals Week. Food will be provided by SGA and the GCSC Foundation.

Happy Thanksgiving from your Student Government Association!
