so bad it’s good or just bad– Sleepaway Camp review

Once again as a precursor for this review me and my friend love watching horror movies together especially bad ones and especially if they’re so bad that they’re good. This will be kind of a train of thought review on the classic 80s Camp slasher movie Sleepaway Camp.

Sleepaway Camp take place at a summer camp in focuses on a pair of cousins one and outgoing boy and the other a very shy timmid girl. The girl gets made fun of a lot for being so shy and not wanting to get in a bikini when she swims or take off her clothes when she showers the boy seems to be having fun and it seems like a regular Camp movie until some counselors start getting picked off POV Style the rest of the film goes this way it’s pretty goofy and can’t be like most low-budget 80 horror films were in that time. Things start to escalate as more counselors and campers are being killed. The big reveal at the end of the movie is that the main cousin girl is not really a girl but a transgender man. This is done with a terrifying reveal that still haunts me to this day of her naked, the girl’s head superimposed on a grown man’s naked body holding a boy’s head making an ungodly moaning noise. Overall the movie is pretty good if you like bee movies. And I would recommend it to any fan of 80s horrors I will probably do a review on this movie sequels because they are just as ridiculous.
