Digital Media
The Digital Media department at Gulf Coast State College hosts an array of technology, options, and opportunities for all aspiring digital creators. Students have choices when it comes to their future in digital media at Gulf Coast. The Digital Media department is located in the Advanced Technology Center.
Technology
The Digital Media program grants students access to all types of software and hardware technology:
- Windows & Mac Computers (with Adobe Suite)
- Accessible TV Production Studio
- Check-out video/audio recording equipment
- Student-ran live radio broadcasting station (The Alternation).
Choices
Students can choose from a couple of different programs to take in regards to digital media:
- The 60-credit-hour Associate in Science in Digital Media, leading to a BAS in Digital Media
- A 15-credit-hour Digital Media/Multimedia Production certificate, leading to an associate of science (AS) degree
- A 15-credit-hour Web Design and Production Certificate, leading to an associate of science (AS) degree
- A 12-credit-hour Multimedia Video Production certificate, leading to an associate of science (AS) degree

Student-employment in digital media may be an option available. Students may also find the supplemental Digital Media/RTV/ADV Advising Group as an aid in their job search.
How Do I Apply?
Any GCSC student who’s interested in enrollment for the Digital Media Program may find out more information and apply here. Dr. Erika Goines is a digital media professor and program manager for the department. All non-students must 1st apply to Gulf Coast State College before enrolling in the program.
