The recent release of Persona 4 Golden onto the PC platform Steam has gotten Sega interested in remastering Atlus games. Sega Sammy recently held a video presentation on November 6, 2020, highlighted the excellent release of Persona. President and CEO of Sega, Haruki Satomi discussed during their presentation a plan for “expansion of business roll-out” in a small slide.

Sega expressly noted their desire to work with porting and remastering existing Atlus titles onto other platforms, like PC. Atlus is notoriously stubborn about having games only appear on a single obscure console. So this change will allow college students around the globe to have better access to games made by Atlus. Atlus has been slow to release any of their existing games on steam. However, once seeing the fantastic release of Persona 4 Golden. Which in June 2020 alone generated the company the equivalent of 19 million dollars, they seem to be rethinking that idea.

Which games are likely to be ported?

Shin Megami Tensei 5, the newest Atlus title, has almost no chance of ruining their exclusive deals with Nintendo and releasing on PC. Older Persona titles, such as Persona 1,2, and 3, will follow its fourth installment without a doubt. Fans don’t have high hopes for other titles coming from Atlus, such as the recently released Persona 5 Royal. Which has no signs of being ported from its native console of the PlayStation. However, an older Shin Megami Tensei game is in a good position to get its remaster. Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne HD, on PC.

Files being found in the remasters game files hints at the remaster getting a PC release. Fans who want to take the game into their own hands and fix any problems have a great chance to do so with this.

See You There.
