Commodore Market Flys Under Radar!
Students may not explore the entire campus, especially in the pandemic world we live in today
However, there are ways to explore without stepping foot on campus. Visit the Gulf Coast State College Campus Life to see the dining options available. Along with those meal options, there is information about the Culinary course available at Gulf Coast State College. The Culinary course takes place in The John Holley Dining Room, and features “around the world cuisine” in their reserve-only dining experience offered for $60 per lunch table to $80 per 5-course dinner table, prices are subject to change. The cuisine offered will have been made by students studying the course, and served by them as well. Reservations are needed in advance, don’t miss out on your table!
Let’s Explore What Is Offered On The Gulf Coast State College Campus
One student, Dee Tiebklang, states, “I don’t eat on campus every day, but sometimes it depends on how I feel and what’s offered to eat.”
The main option for a hot meal or coffee on campus is the Grizzly Brew Coffee located in the Advanced Technology Center, across from the baseball fields. Students may order online or visit in person at the campus. The Cafe offers a menu of delightful freshly made meals, pastries, salads, as well as specialty coffees.
If you are just looking for a quick snack, and the vending machines aren’t suiting your craving, stop by the Commodore Market located in the Student Union East. Dee Tiebklang says, ” I would usually get jerky as a quick snack. But if I’m really hungry, then I get a chicken salad sandwich, and other snack options like cookies, and flavored water.” The Commodore market has a self-checkout register for speedy shopping.
Michael Covington stated he had not been to the Commodore Market because “[he] didn’t even know about the Market. Since we are located on the edge of the campus we don’t really get involved in other things that much…” and he recommends “more advertising” in order to spread the word farther across campus about it.
In fact, many students and faculty members feel as though the Grizzly Brew Coffee and Commodore Market could use “more advertising” on campus. You can help with this issue by telling others about these places, or sharing this article! Spread the word about the meal options on campus. For the sake of all Commodores and the businesses providing for us.
