There aren’t just student employment applications. There are internships as well. Internships are individuals, specifically college students, working in an organization (outside of GCSC) to gain work experience with or without pay.

They provide real-world experience from what is learned and is being put into action. Internships are not mandatory, but it is good to have the perspective needed for future jobs.

To Apply

It is encouraged to:

  • Submit a FAFSA application
  • Review open student positions in the Gulf Coast site under student employment
  • Apply and submit a student employment application
  • If a supervisor contacts you, schedule an interview
  • If hired by a supervisor, then complete paperwork for Human Resources

Becoming familiar with the workspace helps students know what they want to do for their career goals. A work-study or internship is as close as a real-world job while being in college.
