Who is Dee?
Pakarwadee Tiebklang, who goes by Dee, is a digital media production major at Gulf Coast State College. She recently completed her associate’s degree last fall and is continuing to attend Gulf Coast State College until she receives her bachelor’s degree. She became a Commodore Productions team member around the fall of 2019. During her time working with the team, she has been able to gain a vast knowledge of the inner working of a production crew.
What has she done as a Commodore Productions team member?
Additionally, in order to fully comprehend what a person working with the Commodore Productions team does, I asked her what she has done for the team.
I’ve been working with the commodore productions team since around the fall of 2019. Since then, I’ve started a radio show with Shelby, which is a little more recent. I’ve also produced in sports events. At the beginning of being in Commodore Productions, it was baseball, whereas this spring semester I helped with some basketball games, I did cameras which I thought was fun to do. I’ve also done a thing called coaches corner on Mondays before the Corona Virus took over.
The best part?
In order to better know what working with Commodore Productions brings to the table, I asked Dee, what was your favorite thing that you have done because of your involvement with the Commodore Productions team?
My favorite thing would be doing the radio show, the Bamm and Dee show. I feel like because I also work in the news station, I kind of have a general idea of how sports events work based on graphics, camera work, and directing the crew. When it comes to the radio show, it’s something that’s new to me, and it was something that I thought I would have never encountered as a part of my life. The one person I would say that inspired me to do the radio show was Scott kirkman, not only he made the class fun, he also made the actual radio equipment fun as well.
Furthermore, Dee says that she enjoys helping with the filming of sports events as well, but her true passion is working with radio and helping operate a production crew.
What is something you want to learn?
According to Dee, she wants to have more hands-on experience with the director’s board. This is one of the few things that she has had little experience with. Dee feels like it is important to understand the director’s board because being in a leadership role can help with the learning process of working in a studio environment.
What would you say to someone who is on the fence about joining?
What I would say is that they’ll never know until they try. Experimentation requires risk and I would definitely encourage them to try and work with commodore productions. Everyone is really easy-going and chill, and we get along pretty well. As being a member of commodore productions, everyone is open to help and give suggestions. Like so you never know until you try.
