Who Is Jalen Suggs:

This 19-year-old freshman for Gonzaga has been creating a bigger name for himself this basketball season. Jalen was born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, where he went to high school at Minnehaha. That is where he first found his love for two sports, basketball and football. During his senior year at Minnehaha Academy, he averaged 23.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 3.8 steals per game. Jalen Suggs and The Gonzaga Bulldogs:

Suggs is the HIGHEST-ranked recruit to ever be signed with the Gonzaga Bulldogs, which he was ranked fifth in ESPN’s Top-100 list in the Class of 2020. He weighs 205 pounds and stands 6 foot 4 inches tall as a Point Guard. As of right now Gonzaga has been rolling through their opponents during the regular season, not losing a single game. Jalen Suggs snd Final Four contenders are ready to see who will take home the trophy!

Gonzaga vs. UCLA, Final Four Moment:

Gonzaga was going into this Final Four game having a record of 31-0. Jalen Suggs and Final Four team, UCLA, have fought to make it to this spot. They were on a mission to continue having an unbeatable season. Despite what they wanted, they were going up against another amazing team that made their way to the Final Four as well, which is UCLA. This game was a back and forth game with leads barely getting higher than double digits, players getting on fire, and rough play. Suggs was on his A-game for sure! He was being the point guard they needed him to be and he even hit the buzzer beater in overtime to bring them to the Championship game.

Was Basketball A Better Choice For Suggs Instead Of Football:

Suggs was an outstanding football player! It kind of runs in his blood as his distant relation to NFL defensive standout, Terrell Suggs, is his cousin. Suggs was getting tons of attention on the basketball side of things, getting 22 scholarship offers to play basketball for them. Although that’s what he chose, he also was looked at in football as a two-way football player ranked No. 384 player in the 2020 class, No. 15 dual-threat quarterback and the No. 2 player in the state of Minnesota. He even led the team to the 4A Minnesota state runner-up and the year prior to a state championship!

What’s Next For Jalen Suggs:

Many believe Suggs is already a potential NBA Draft lottery pick as a FRESHMAN!! The skills he brings to the table is something that the NBA, I’m pretty sure, is looking for. He has some outstanding handles, can catch and shoot, and uses his teammates accordingly throughout the game. As a point guard, this is what is expected of you. You need to be able to make plays, be a captain of the team and do all you can to come out with a win. Suggs is someone who delivers every time, which is one reason Gonzaga hasn’t lost yet.
