A beautiful blue sky was the backdrop for the celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month last Thursday, 23, in the Breezeway of Student Union East on Gulf Coast State College.

SGA greeted visitors with delicious Hispanic food and music by The Alternation. The Spanish Club was also present, and we had the opportunity to talk to them. Tristan Costales, a Spanish student and member of the Spanish Club, commented on his experience with the Hispanic Community in and out of campus.

Meanwhile, from The Alternation, Dannie and DJ Jok3r commented on the air about their Hispanic traditions, food, and music. The college’s administration deemed the activity a success and they pledge to do it again in the upcoming year.
