Routines and Consistency
In addition to motivation comes developing a routine and being consistent. These are key to creating that motivated mindset. For example, say you wake up one morning, look at yourself in the mirror, and hate how you look. The next day you go to your local gym and buy a membership. Paying for it then adds a money motivation. You then decide every other day you will start working out. A day here and there, you may not be able to stick to the routine. Although you may have missed a day or two, you can reach that fitness goal as long as you keep going and stay consistent. This concept of keeping up with your goals and staying determined will help you reach your goals. Many things take this same concept of routines and consistency. You can apply it to studying, practicing, etc.
What’s your motivation
When it comes to being motivated, people have many ways. Some people like the reward method where they get a reward for accomplishing their goals; some find motivation through not being punished, etc. The way you find motivation is through things that will make you care about it. I like having a reward-type method where I’ll get to watch an episode of my favorite shows if I get something done. This way allows me to feel good about getting my work done and leaves me motivated to do more. Motivation can be presented in many ways, but finding yours is as easy as finding what you love or hate.
Dream Big but Start Small
There are lots of things that motivate us. We can be encouraged to get good grades to get stronger. Etc. All these things can be goals. The first mistake everyone makes is thinking too big and getting disappointed when they don’t reach them. The way to keep you motivated towards a big goal is by accomplishing the smaller ones. as a result, you feel accomplished as you go and eventually reach your end goal. This method allows constant achievements to make you feel good, thus motivating you to keep going. Just as we have conditioned ourselves to wake up at a particular time, we can also prepare ourselves to get inspired.
