February is typically a big month for gaming releases, and this February was no different. I’m here to break down all of the biggest video game releases this month, from Techlands’ Dying Light 2 to FromSoftware’s highly anticipated open-world epic, Elden Ring. Let’s get to it!

Dying Light 2 – Techland (Feb. 4)

First being revealed at E3 2018, Dying Light 2 takes everything that the fans loved from the first game, and ups the ante with incredible graphics, fun environments to explore, and new characters to get to know! This fast-paced, parkour-filled zombie FPS is sure the be an enjoyable ride for anyone willing to give it a try!

The game currently has a 77% on Metacritic and the devs have been releasing updates and patches non-stop since the game was released on February 4th. If you’re looking for your next action-packed video game, this just might be it! The game is available now on all major consoles and PC!

Horizon: Forbidden West – Guerrilla Games (Feb. 18)

The sequel to 2017’s hit, Horizon: Zero Dawn, has finally been released! Fans and critics alike have been praising the game since it was released on the 18th of February. Toting the game’s engaging story and characters, lively open world, and most importantly, the incredibly realistic graphics as some of the best in the industry.

Using the PS5 to its advantage, the beautiful game shows the world just how beautiful, and powerful, video games have become. Fans keen on continuing Aloy’s story from the original game can pick up the game now on PS4 and PS5!

Elden Ring – FromSoftware (Feb. 25)

After nearly three years since FromSoftware’s Elden Ring was announced, the game finally arrives on February 25th. Combining FromSoft’s award-winning gameplay, Hidetaka Miyazaki’s incredible story and game direction, and a massive world created by fantasy icon, George R.R. Martin, to say that the game is highly anticipated would be an understatement.

While the game isn’t out at the time of writing, it is sure to be one for the history books. Content creators and game journalists who have gotten about six hours of hands-on experience have praised it from the beginning, and I’m sure that that sentiment will remain long after release! You can pre-order Elden Ring for PS4, PS5, XBOX One, XBOX Series X, and PC.
