Dream Big
Passions Build Futures
It will not feel like work if you do what you love. Have fun, discover your passions, and work on turning those into careers. College is the perfect place to ignite that fire and gain momentum for your future.
Back in high school, I always thought my passion was art. Paint on a canvas, ink on a canvas, or even PASTELS on canvas. That’s what I thought I was going to pursue for my future while I was growing up and all throughout high school. Subsequently, I wasn’t that far off! Replace those media and canvases with Adobe on a PC and I would be right! Due to my art knowledge, I found digital media really fun and easy to understand. Meanwhile, I never would have thought to make digital media my focus back in high school.
In the end, you never know what your passions may lead you to, and it is never too late to explore your options. I chased an art degree for a year and a half before I lost my way and started looking for a different major. It was two Majors later when I finally found the Digital Media program available at Gulf Coast it was like a dream come true.
When you have fun your brain becomes a sponge
Some people have trouble finding their passion, and that’s normal. There are aptitude tests to help people with what they might be good at or enjoy for a career.
