Dana is a great example of how one student can inspire a brighter future for others. A dedicated student, a friendly smile, and a hardworking attitude are just the beginning of how to describe Dana.
As a fellow student myself it is hard to ignore when a student shines as bright as Dana. She always has a great attitude and is very approachable when you need help or just want to talk. This is a profile story to describe how important it is to recognize her as an inspiration for myself and other fellow students.

Jonah Wirrick, a fellow student in Gulf Coast State College in the same program as Dana, Digital Media, says one word to describe Dana is “Helpful.”
I’ve worked with Dana a few times, mainly last semester. I did a group project filming some interviews with the Alternation and since she is the head of it, we worked with her as well as interviewed her. I also worked with her on a few assignments last semester in the After Effects class. We made an infographic about student stress and how a lack of sleep can affect college students’ mental health. She was really helpful with it. It was easy to work with her and bounce ideas off of her for it.
Sunshine
Marissa Weiman says one word to describe Dana: “Sunshine!”
She continues, “She is like a ball of light, and it is hard to be in a bad mood when she’s in the room. She is like a reliable older sister to many of the students.”
Dana And I have had classes together, and she trained me to be an Alteration DJ. She is willing to help anybody and is a pleasure to collaborate with. As a mentor for the radio, she is very knowledgeable and is always easy to reach. She has an infectious energy that lights up a room.
