The line up overall is pretty stacked this year. With films like James Grey’s “Armageddon Time” and Park Chan-wook’s “Decision to Leave”, there are plenty of hopeful contenders for this year’s Oscar race. There are also some interesting films that were announced in this lineup. Squid Game actor Lee Jung-Jae will be debuting his directorial debut “Hunt”, along with actress Riley Keough who is co-directing the film “Beast”. Also major releases such as “Top Gun: Maverick” and “Elvis” will have their world premieres at the festival. It is an exciting time to be a fan of cinema because Cannes Film Festival this year promises to deliver in every way.
