Gruesome Playground Injuries by Rajiv Joseph February 17-19 and 24-26 click for tickets

If you enjoy watching the plays by the students from Gulf Coast State College, then you may be in luck. There will be a brand-new play this year, titled Gruesome Playground Injuries, directed by the guest director Doug Gilliland.

ABOUT THE BOOK

Based on the book by Rajiv Joseph back in 2012, the story gives the message about the power of friendship, following the lives of two best friends, Kayleen and Doug. According to the Weebly site talking about the book, their need for each other was outwitted by their years apart from each other. These two talked about their injuries for the first time after meeting at eight years old, for those injuries are the physical manifestation of their internal pain. For the next thirty years, their bond after sustaining those injuries will be carried throughout.
