Visionaries Ink, as it is, stands by it’s mission statement – “To promote the arts and artistic growth at GCSC and in the surrounding community.” But this club isn’t one that everyone is aware of. What is Visionaries Ink? What is it that they do within the community, or even at the college, and why would someone even want to join the club? Here’s a club introduction.

For those unaware, Visionaries Ink is Gulf Coast State College’s art club, a club active throughout the college and the community. They were one of the participants in the Flluxe Festival that happened March, and is super active in events that the college hosts, being one to create plenty of the crafts the college uses. For example, for the empty bowls project that happened at the college on April 6th, the visionaries ink club was the one’s to paint the bowls used. At the request of SGA, they are also painting a checkerboard near the Student Union East.

This club, as one would most likely expect, is populated with individuals from within the Art Departments. However, this club isn’t limited to just people from there. Anyone, as long as they have an interest and a willingness to participate, anyone is free to apply to join the club. Their activities aren’t just limited to what’s been discussed. They semester, they did a stained glass workshop, and they planned a took a trip to St. Petes to visit some art museums as a club.
