Press Release from Elizabeth Humphries
Panama City, FL – Seven students from Gulf Coast State College will be hosting a surrealist exhibition, “The Mind’s Eye” at the Gallery of Art 850, from April 18 – 23, 2024.
The featured artists for the show are Zachary Barber, William Brown, Natalie Earnest, Paige Guthrie, Hailey Moody, Lee Ponds, and Luke Thorne, and through the art of surrealism, they will discuss many stories from various perspectives, such as unvarnished realities to dreamlike states using mixed mediums.
“This body of work is unique in the way that every student has pulled inspiration from their own experiences. There is a deeper meaning behind each piece that not only the artists themselves have felt before, but also the viewers,” says Natalie Earnest, student and artist.
