Rachel Lee led things off when she hit a line drive on the first pitch of the game to right field. Makayle Peters hit a sacrifice bunt to advance Lee to second base. Cailyn Cooke flies out to the center fielder moving Lee to third. Lee scores (1-0) after Charlotte Phillips lines out to the first baseman. During the top of the third inning, Lee homers (2-1) after hitting a fly ball to left field. In the 5th inning, Phillips double on a line drive to left field scoring McKenzie Cain (3-7) and Cailyn Cooke (4-7). Top of the 6th, Peters singled on a line drive to left field sending Fallyn Jordan home (5-7) while Macie Robinette advanced to 3rd base and Lee moved to 2nd. McKenzie Cain reached first on an error by Central Florida’s shortstop on a popup, scoring Robinette (6-7). Starting pitcher Lexi Shelby allowed five hits and seven runs (four earned) over four innings, striking out three and walking three. Marissa Barnes appeared as relief.

The ladies still have a chance to make it to the NJCAA South Atlantic District B Championship Game that will be played on Saturday, May 11th. They will first have to make it through Thursday, May 9th at 10 am EST vs. #8 Seminole State in Clearwater, FL.
