Tallahassee, FL – Early this morning, the Lady Commodores Cross Country team took on the competition at the 2024 FCSAA/NJCAA Region 8 Championship, held at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Florida. Facing off against nine other schools, including the College of Central Florida, Daytona State College, Florida Gateway College, Florida State College-Jacksonville, Lake-Sumter State College, Pasco-Hernando State College, Pensacola State College, South Florida State College, and Tallahassee State College, the Lady Commodores earned an impressive 3rd place finish.

Sophomore Emily Hall led the team, finishing in 7th place with a time of 21:26.60. Close behind her were freshman Adriana Cruz-Betancourth in 12th place with a time of 21:41.30, followed by Katelynne James in 16th with 21:57.80. Bailey Martinek finished 22nd with a time of 22:26.60, and Jaden Ferrell came in 26th at 22:38.60.

The Lady Commodores are now preparing for the NJCAA DII Women’s Cross Country Championship on November 9th at Pole Green Park in Richmond, VA.

The Lady Commodores Women’s Cross Country team will be honored for their achievements during tonight’s Gulf Coast Volleyball game against Palm Beach State! Join us to celebrate them between the 2nd and 3rd sets.  The game begins at 6 p.m. Let’s show our support and cheer them on for their hard work and accomplishments!
