For some students, College is a short endeavor. They come in at 9am, attend one or two lectures, and go home. They may have homework, but otherwise they have the rest of the day for work or relaxation.
For other students, this is far from the truth.
Maybe your classes are just at a later time. Maybe they take from morning to well into the afternoon. Either way, when you are done, you’d want to take a load off, spend some time with friends and family, or otherwise just enjoy some good food. Here are some great dinner spots around the college that you’ll want to sink your teeth into.
Uncle Ernie’s
If you like fried food, this place is a must visit. Located about 8-9 minutes away from the college, this spot has a great selection of foods, ranging from Seafood, Steaks, and Sandwiches. It’s right on the beach too, so you won’t be lacking in atmosphere.
It’s main claim to fame is it’s seafood, no surprise there, but that’s not to riff on it’s other options either. It’s appetizers especially are all mouthwatering. I’m not super big on seafood myself, with a couple of exceptions, so having some nice options for someone like me is always a bonus.
It’s located at 1151 Bayview Ave, Panama City, FL 32401, so feel free to check it out sometime.
C Level
Seafood Restaurants are very common throughout the Panhandle. That’s not that big of a surprise, being right on the beach means you are inevitably going to find a lot of beach theming. One of the spots I got recommended a bunch when looking for places to put on this list was C Level.
Located on Front Beach road, it’s not to far from the where the road splits off from U.S. 98, meaning you won’t have to travel far into the beach to find this place. From there, you have a nice and wide selection of seafood related items, such as shrimp, crab, and definitely fish. It’s a less reliant on frying and breading than something like Uncle Ernie’s too, although not without it’s selections of fried goods and sandwiches.
Over all, a great menu. If you’re on the beach side, highly recommend you take a look at C Level, located at 8014 Front Beach Rd, Panama City Beach, FL 32407.
Carraba’s
If you were to ask me why I chose to make my blog about recommending restaurants, or even just food in general, this place would be my answer. It’s not my absolute favorite spot in the whole world for a good meal, but it is without a doubt the one I cherish the most. This place holds a lot of sentimental value to me, as my family has visited this place a fair bit ever since I was a kid.
The Calamari is a must have. Honestly, it’s a place you go for the atmosphere and appetizers more than the entrees themself, but that’s not to bash those either. You have a wide array of Italian Classics on display here, with Chicken Parmesan, Alfredo, Steak, and loads more. If you want a great Italian experience, head over to 8014 Front Beach Rd, Panama City Beach, FL 32407.
