Johnny Juzang:

Johnny Juzang is a college basketball player who just recently lost in the Final Four of the NCAA Tournament. Having Johnny Juzang’s NCAA Tournament appearance, it caught peoples eyes. He is a 6 foot 6 inch tall, 200 pounds, Small Forward that plays for UCLA, but that wasn’t where he started his college career. Where he started was with the Kentucky Wildcats before transferring to one of the most well-known, dominant, team UCLA Bruins. He went to Harvard Westlake High School and is originally from Studio City, CA. He is not the only one who plays basketball, his brother, Christian Juzang, plays basketball at Harvard.

Juzang’s Time With Kentucky:

Juzang appeared in 28 out of 33 games during his freshman season with the Kentucky Wildcats. He scored 82 points, 54 rebounds, 9 assists, 5 steals and 2 blocks as a freshman! When he was with the Wildcats, he was playing the Guard position instead of the Small Forward position. He had a hard decision over what school to choose at first. Having offers from Kentucky (obviously), Virginia, Kansas, Villanova and Oregon.

Johnny Juzang’s Team Transfer:

As we know, Johnny Juzang was a part of the Kentucky Wildcats. He committed and signed to Kentucky on May 10, 2019. After just his freshman year, he wanted to be traded to a different school and entered the transfer portal on March 27, 2020. Not even a month later, on April 9, 2020 he was transferred to UCLA Bruins. His time there has been amazing, as seeing how they made it all the way to the Final Four. Johnny Juzang’s NCAA Tournament chances with Kentucky were slim anyways.

UCLA In The Final Four:

Having beat BYU Cougars by 11 points, Abilene Christian by 30 points, and Michigan by only 2 points, they had a big game coming into their Final Four match-up. UCLA was ranked No. 11 in the East Conference, and they were going up against the No. 1 ranked Gonzaga of the West Conference. Coming into the game, many thought Gonzaga was going to win because they were undefeated the whole season. Juzang and the UCLA team weren’t going to give up without a fight. This game was a battle of the best. The game went into overtime and sadly, Gonzaga took the win and  Johnny Juzang’s NCAA Tournament was over.

Johnny Juzang’s 2020-21 Basketball Season Highlights:

Here are some highlights from Johnny Juzang’s basketball season this past year. This season alone, he averaged 16 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.6 assists and went 44.1% from the field.

Juzang Overall In The NCAA Tournament:

During their first game in the tournament, against BYU, Juzang played 39 minutes and made 27 points, had 5 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 block. In the second game of the tournament, he played 27 minutes and made 17 points, had 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 block. Third game, Juzang played 38 minutes and scored 28 points and had 2 rebounds. This third game wasn’t his best performance but they still came away with a win. Lastly, Juzang played 45 min. and had 29 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists in this game. He had the most points on the team and really started taking the leader role because he didn’t want to lose and go home without a championship.
