TRiO at GCSC Hosting Saturday FAFSA Support Series

Panama City, FL– The 2024–25 FAFSA brings significant changes and improvements, the redesigned form recently becoming available via a soft launch on December 31, 2023. The soft launch will have the application available for set periods of time over the coming days for site performance monitoring and real-time response to any issues that may arise.

To provide guidance and support through the new application, TRiO will have three FAFSA support events: January 20, January 27, and February 3, 2024, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm CST within the TRiO department on the first floor of the Student Union West building on the Gulf Coast State College Panama City campus.

“We’re excited to help students and the community with the new FAFSA. Our goal is to simplify the process and ensure everyone, no matter their background, gets the support they need for higher education,” said Kris Hatcher Director of TRiO Programs. “We’re committed to guiding individuals through the changes in the 2024–25 FAFSA form and fostering academic success.”

TRiO’s mission is to provide academic and personal development services to motivate individuals toward successful post-secondary education completion. Dedicated to enhancing college retention and graduation rates, TRiO focuses on supporting low-income and first-generation Americans in pursuing higher education through specially designed programs. The FAFSA Saturday series is just one of many services TRiO offers to support equitable opportunities for all who want to achieve a post-secondary degree or certificate.
