GC ATHLETICS: GC Volleyball’s Langley named FCSAA DII Volleyball Defensive player of the Week

For the fourth week in a row, Sophomore Defensive Specialist Morgan Langley has been named this week’s FCSAA DII Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week.  During their game vs. Pensacola State, Langley had 22 digs, and one service ace.  In Conference standings she is currently ranked #7 in Hitting % (.375), 2^nd in Digs with 147 (ranked #19 in NJCAA Overall with 322), and #1 in Digs per set 6.68 (ranked 8^th in NJCAA Overall rankings with 6.08).

Congratulations to Morgan and the Lady Commodores who are currently ranked #7 in the Nation in the latest NJCAA Rankings released this week.  In the NJCAA Overall rankings, the Lady Commodores are currently ranked 18^th in Hitting % with .228, 8^th in Kills per set (12.60), 8^th in Assists per set (11.68),  and 24^th in Digs per set (18.28).

Due to Tropical Storm Helene, the Lady Commodores’ scheduled games in South Florida have a few updates.  The Ladies will play Indian River State College on Saturday, Sept. 28^th at 6 pm est in Fort Pierce, FL, then they will travel to Palm Beach State in Lake Worth Beach, FL on Sunday, Sept. 29^th for their game at 1 pm est, followed by their game vs. South Florida in Avon Park at 12pm est on Monday, Sept. 30th.
