Tomorrow, October 3rd, The AlterNation will kick off our celebration of World College Radio Day, a day dedicated to observing the importance of college radio! Join us from 12 to 3 o’clock as we honor the vital contributions of college radio with live DJs. Although the global celebration takes place on October 4th, we’re excited to engage with our student body by celebrating a day early.

This year’s theme is “The Soundtrack of Democracy.” Our DJs will not only play your favorite tunes but will also share important information on how to register to vote, discuss the significance of democracy, and conduct live interviews. Plus, get ready for some fun trivia!

We’re thrilled to have Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Gavin DeGraw as this year’s ambassador. Gavin credits college radio for helping launch his career, saying, “College radio played it. And I won’t forget that. They gave me a shot!”

Join us as we unite with over 700 college radio stations across more than 50 countries to celebrate the 14th annual World College Radio Day! We invite you to celebrate with The AlterNation by listening at thealternationradio.com or downloading the free Tunein app and searching for WKGC-HD3 The Alter Nation.
