Gulf Coast State College’s Student Government Association and the Gulf Goes Green student club are hosting “Government and the Environment,” a community forum  to discuss current legislative issues that will impact the environment.

The forum will consist of a panel of experts including Jamie Webb, Natural Sciences Professor; Dr. John Phillips, Social Sciences Professor; and Brett Cyhers, Executive Director of the Northwest Florida Water Management District. Students and the community will have the opportunity to ask questions relating to issues at the local, state and federal levels that have already impacted, or have the potential to impact the environment.

The event will be held Friday, March 3 at 9:30 a.m. at the Main Campus in the Language & Literature Building, Sarzin Lecture Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
